The General Security apparatus of the de facto authority, acting as a protector of supporters of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorist authority, carried out an attack on members of the Alawite community in the Al-Azhari neighborhood of Latakia city.

This attack constitutes a blatant violation of civilian rights on a sectarian basis, highlighting the direct role of the apparatus in facilitating and covering the assaults without providing any protection to the victims, within a context of systematic violence and impunity.
