Members of the Alawite community in Tartous Governorate were subjected to grave terrorist violations, including live gunfire and the use of tear gas canisters, carried out by forces affiliated with the so-called transitional de facto authority, led by Ahmad al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani) — ISIS-affiliated.

🔴 Documented outcomes:
• Dozens of cases of fainting as a result of tear gas inhalation.
• Suffocation and widespread panic among civilians.

📌 Context:
• The attacks occurred in response to peaceful demands for the most basic civil rights, including the right to a dignified life.

These incidents constitute a continuation of a systematic pattern of repression against civilians on a sectarian basis.
