هجوم طائفي منظم يستهدف أحياء في اللاذقية

The Al-Jamal and Al-Din neighborhoods in Latakia were subjected to organized sectarian attacks, in which attackers loyal to the de facto terrorist authority destroyed vehicles and commercial shops, and targeted civilians and their property on a sectarian basis, amid a complete absence of protection or deterrence.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack on Al-Din neighborhood began from the Al-Istrad side, where local youth blocked the road using trash containers as barricades to try to prevent the attackers’ advance.

At the same time, the attackers stormed the other side of the neighborhood, Al-Jamal, using loudspeakers to chant sectarian slogans against members of the Alawite community, while also firing heavily at homes and private property.

Eyewitnesses added that the attackers destroyed surveillance cameras of the shops, vandalized property, and caused widespread destruction in the area, reflecting the organized and violent nature of the attacks against civilians and their property, and confirming the systematic sectarian character of these assaults.
