Members of the de facto terrorist authority were observed wearing civilian clothes and carrying weapons, actively arming sectarian attackers to continue assaults on residential neighborhoods inhabited by members of the Alawite community in Latakia, as well as targeting peaceful demonstrators demanding their basic rights.

Documented footage shows that these elements carried out:
• Attacks on residential neighborhoods.
• Assaults on peaceful demonstrators.
• Vandalism and burning of vehicles.
• Attacks on citizens’ livelihoods and commercial properties.

This act reflects a systematic pattern of organized sectarian violence targeting civilians and their property, in the complete absence of any protection or deterrence.
