يذكر أن مجزرة المختارية كانت أول مجزرة ارتكبت بحق العلويين بتاريخ 7 آذار/مارس، واستطاع أقرباء الضحايا المقيمين في الخارج بجمع قائمة لجميع ضحايا القرية (وهم ليس فقط من ظهروا في الفيديو) والعدد كان يزيد عن 130 ضحية.

The Mukhtariya massacre was one of the first massacres committed against Alawites on March 7. Relatives of the victims living abroad were able to compile a complete list of all the victims not just those who appeared in the video with the total number exceeding 130 victims.
