Jihadist Factions Chant Sectarian Slogans in the City of Homs

(+ demographic breakdown of Alawite areas following the report)

Footage shows jihadist factions affiliated with Al-Jolani’s sectarian regime, accompanied by their radical loyalists, chanting sectarian slogans on April 25 in the city of Homs. These slogans included calls to exclude the Alawite community, with phrases like: “Homs is for Sunnis — Alawites, get out.”

It’s important to note that Alawite neighborhoods in #Homs account for nearly half of the city. These include — but are not limited to — Wadi al-Dhahab, Al-Zahraa, Karm al-Zeitoun, Karm al-Louz, Al-Nuzha, New Akrama, Old Akrama, Western Housing, and Al-Arman (a mixed neighborhood).

Additionally, eastern, southern, and western rural Homs is home predominantly to minorities, including Christians, Alawites, and Shiites.

Whether Al-Jolani’s followers admit it or not, this is the reality on the ground.

Even in the coastal city of #Jableh, the presence of a Sunni minority does not make it a Sunni-majority city. Jableh itself is predominantly #Alawite, as is its countryside. The #Latakia province as a whole has an Alawite majority, with a small Sunni minority.

The only city on the Syrian coast where Sunnis form a majority is #Baniyas, but even then, its surrounding countryside is Alawite, and the #Tartus province is overwhelmingly Alawite.

These are undeniable facts that must be clearly stated. You can lie to your blind followers abroad who have never set foot in our regions, or to your radical base at home, but Locals know their land best.
