لليوم الثاني على التوالي، تتعرض الكنائس في سوريا لتهديدات مباشرة. فبعد ما شهدته كنيسة الكرلس يوم أمس، استفاق أهالي معرة صيدنايا اليوم على مشهدٍ مؤسف تمثّل بعبارات طائفية بغيضة كُتبت على جدران بوابة كنيسة مار إلياس في صيدنايا بريف دمشق، من بينها عبارات مسيئة مثل: “نصارى كفّار”.
ما كُتب على الجدران لا يُعد مجرد إساءة لفظية، بل يُعتبر تهديدًا واضحًا، إذ يذكّر الأهالي بتفجير كنيسة مار إلياس في دويلعة الذي وقع قبل بضعة أشهر من هذا العام، ما أثار حالة من القلق والاستنكار الواسع في المنطقة.

For the second day in a row, churches in Syria have come under direct threats. Following yesterday’s incident at St. Charles Church, residents of Ma‘arra Saidnaya woke up today to a disturbing scene — hateful and sectarian graffiti written on the gate walls of Mar Elias Church in Saidnaya, including phrases such as “Christians are infidels.”
The writings on the walls are not just verbal insults but are considered a clear threat, as they remind locals of the Mar Elias Church bombing in Dweila, which occurred a few months ago this year, sparking widespread concern and condemnation across the area.
