The convoy stationed at the shrine of King Jaafar al-Tayyar today informed the head of Markiya village and neighboring villages that residents would not be allowed to move about tomorrow without prior authorization, claiming they had work to do in the woodlands, without specifying what that work was. The convoy members also imposed a levy on firewood collection points in the area, demanding 200 kilograms of firewood from each point.

These actions only exacerbate the existing tensions in Jabal Qardaha, which has been experiencing the Ain al-Hayat crisis for some time. We also note that the security forces' mistreatment of citizens could lead to dire consequences.
