Widespread controversy followed the opening of the Ibn Taymiyyah House for Da'wah and Education in the Baba Amr neighborhood of Homs, amid condemnation for promoting the ideology of terrorist organizations.

Widespread controversy followed the opening of the “Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah House for Da’wah and Education” in the Baba Amr neighborhood of Homs.
The so-called “Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah for Da’wah and Education” was opened in Homs, coinciding with the continued consolidation of the same ideas believed in by terrorist organizations such as ISIS, which derives most of its ideas from the terrorist Ibn Taymiyyah.
The opening of the terrorist house coincides with a lecture by Anas Airoot in Tartous, and an activity by the Damascus Endowments Directorate, both of which explain the extremist terrorist Ibn Taymiyyah, who was known for his permissibility of taking money, women, and killing men from other religions and sects that differ from the extremist Salafist sect.
The Syrian Truth organization reiterates its condemnation of the holding of lectures and the opening of venues that promote the ideology of the terrorist Ibn Taymiyyah, instead of promoting a unifying national discourse. It calls upon relevant international bodies to intervene and investigate the extremist, terrorist Islam that is spreading more and more each day in Syria, and to expedite appropriate measures, as Syria has recently become a breeding ground for extremist ideology.
